Karl, it turns out I have about 1/2 the hole locations. I've summarized the holes in a short-hand form of "Meters * oz/ton" by fenceline.
Starting from north to south.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEZ-45.25 - this is the first time I've seen a quarter division infill of the fencelines. I do not have the hole locations for this fenceline.
Hole SEZ-46.5 BSSE-242 = no significant gold
------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEZ-46.5 - I do not have hole the locations for this fenceline.
Hole SEZ-46.5 BSSE-242 = no significant gold Hole SEZ-46.5 BSSE-246 = no significant gold Hole SEZ-46.5 BSSE-250 = 42.32 meter*oz/t - super hole! Hole SEZ-46.5 BSSE-251 = 41.84 meter*oz/t - super hole!
If hole numbers are in sequence for this fenceline, at least the good and bad holes are clustered. It is important for there to be some gold on this fenceline, as SEZ-44 was good and SEZ-49 outstanding.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEZ-51.5 - I do have locations
Hole SEZ-51.5 BSSE-170 = 6.8 meter*oz/t... OK, but low-end by Bre-X standards
No problem with this hole... this is hole is on the Northeastern end of the fenceline, well away from the center of the strike.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEZ-54 - I do have locations, but....
Hole SEZ-54 BSSE-80D = 38.9 meter*oz/t - extremely good
No idea why this hole is labeled 80D. First time I've seend the "D" suffix. There was a hole BSSE-80 released on Dec 15, 1995 but it only had 3.7 meter*oz/t.
Note: there is an error in the press release regarding this hole. One of the intercepts says from 183.0 to 101.2 meters... it should be to 401.2 meters, going by the intercept length. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEZ-56.5 - I do have locations
Hole SEZ-56.5 BSSE-184 = no significant gold
No problem with this hole... like the other one, this is hole is on the Northeastern end of a fenceline, well away from the center of the strike. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEZ-58.5 - I do have locations
Another typo in the press release. The press release says "SEZ-58.5"... this makes no sense because that would be right next to SEZ-59... guessing Bre-X meant SEZ-56.5, I did find BSSE-178 on that fenceline.
Hole SEZ-56.5 BSSE-178 = 15.52 meter*oz/t - a generic Bre-X hole
This hole is slightly Southwest of the center of the row. It is better than the holes that I have results for on fenceline 59 and worse than the corresponding holes on row 54. So it is about midrange, to be expected. Either Guzman was a master salter or thar's gold in Busang!
------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEZ-59 - I have locations but not for these holes, I have no idea where they may be. A number of holes have suffixes not seen before.
Hole SEZ-59 BSSE-64A = 10.835 meter*oz/t - typical for previous SEZ-59 holes Hole SEZ-59 BSSE-87D = 1.44 meter*oz/t - close to insignificant by Bre-X standards Hole SEZ-59 BSSE-223 = 2.16 meter*oz/t - close to insignificant by Bre-X standards Hole SEZ-59 BSSE-224 = 0.3 meter*oz/t - near zip
Hopefully these are not infills between BSSE-82-88 as these previously had good results.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEZ-60.25 - I do not have hole the locations for this fenceline.
Hole SEZ-60.25 BSSE-285 = No significant intercepts
------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEZ-61.5 - I do have locations.
Hole SEZ-61.5 BSSE-190 = No significant intercepts
This one is disapointing as it is pretty much in the midline of the fenceline in an area I'd expect to see about 15 m*oz/t gold. I'd like to know if de Guzman was on hand for this one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEZ-64 - I only have a location for 1 of the 4 holes reported for this fenceline
Hole SEZ-64 BSSE-112D = 12.82 meter*oz/t - a bit below average for this fenceline Hole SEZ-64 BSSE-126A = 12.42 meter*oz/t - a bit below average for this fenceline Hole SEZ-64 BSSE-154 = 10.08 meter*oz/t - a bit more below average for this fenceline Hole SEZ-64 BSSE-207 = 18.44 meter*oz/t - a bit above average for this fenceline
Hole #154 is 50 meters to the northeast of the previously reported #89 which had 14.25 m*oz/t gold. All in all, this line OK and is generally consistant with previous results.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEZ-66.5 - I have locations for all three holes
Hole SEZ-66.5 BSSE-209 = 12.50 meter*oz/t - on the far left end of the line, ok Hole SEZ-66.5 BSSE-210 = 15.36 meter*oz/t - one from the far right of the line, ok Hole SEZ-66.5 BSSE-211 = 32.96 meter*oz/t - on the far right of the line, very good
Line 32.96 was excellent, but most of the better grade was deep down. It is not unexpected to have some really good holes here, as #'s 94 and 96 on line SEZ-69 were in that range.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Synopsis.... these holes are typical Bre-X fare. Of the few "no significant intercept" holes where I know the location, only one, SEZ-61.5 BSSE-190, is in a location that I'd call disappointing, the others are along the edges.
Since Bre-X released no data as to the time these holes were drilled, run through their prep/bagging process ,and what kind of monitoring was done, these holes IMO do little to solve anything. Since these holes are generally consistant with the previous holes, they would confirm the gold strike IMO, if Bre-X can show that due-dilly was observed during the program.
It's late... so excuse any typos here, I haven't proofed this msg much.
