Well, "Intel isn't God for crying out loud."... I hope the humble one does not see your blasfamy! Well, what can you say about a company that goes sole source on the first level, AND the second level of packaging in a product as complex as a computer, who also expects to ship millions of units per year. Gateway is beginning to make Compaq, who still makes their own mobos, and uses both Intel and AMD CPUs, extremely damn smart. Make that Compaq always was pretty damn smart, but fell into the wrong management hands (Heir Pfeiffer, Achoo!). The thing is that it comes down to Gateway's procurement decisions ended up making both them and Intel look bad. Their choice of words on the subject also won't endear them to anyone in the tech community, going forward, IMO. Tony
