The case of the cuckold is a special case- most stepfathers KNOW they are stepfathers. I do not believe the danger is as great (or may not be there at all) if the male is ignorant.

I believe the POTENTIAL exists in any non-related male entering a family where there are earlier born children to another male. It is ONLY potential - but should be relevant in how decisions are made regarding childcare and supervision. And EVERYONE should be educated about this biological aspect of behavior.
