the key issue here in this state is how to get kids who are one day shy of their 18th birthday to sign a paper transferring their UGMA accounts into a trust - that's what you have to do - otherwise they get it all at age 18 - but by building up the kids money in their UGMA accounts you beat the tax man taking his share of your estate -
