Since I am today off margin, and loaded up with G&K stock and leaps, the market can do whatever it wants. I have to agree, though, that staying power only comes when one has a good intellectual position in a stock. Otherwise the temptation is too strong to sell it on days like this. That is the power of the G&K philosophy, that it allows us to think about the long term, the value chains, the BTEs, and those things that make these companies current and future powerhouses.
About the rotation into cyclicals, yes, this happened last year, but not until March or so. It was about that time that the brokers, the houses, and CNBC advised us to sell techs and buy CAT and paper. I resisted the temptation, and bought Qcom instead. The rest is history LOL |
