Here's one of the first reviews I've seen for BZII (90 out of 100) gamespy.com During the summer of 1998, the Battlezone development team spun off from Activision to create Pandemic Studios. The first release from Pandemic is the sequel to their masterpiece; Battlezone II: Combat Commander. Like the original game, Battlezone II is a filled with pleasant surprises. The game takes the original concept of Battlezone and enhances or refines almost every feature. Battlezone II looks better, the AI is smarter, the single-player storyline is more involved, and the multiplayer gameplay is substantially improved. -Scot
