I see the distinction, and it was clear that with COST, several of us on the thread warned of the world's impending doom. Of course, COST and damn near everything else doubled after that, and I missed a lot. I don't think the mood is quite as downbeat as it was in October 1998, even though I've dropped about 8 percent out of my portfolio since Monday.
