Talk about patterns; this is a fairly typical earnings jitters thing, although it's occurring exceptionally early, it seems. To listen to these guys on CNBC you'd think the north and south poles were re-alligning.

It often happens that warnings come in, the bath water gets tossed (baby and all), and then <knock knock knock> at the door. It's the baby! Then we run up to the day before earnings. It's just hysteria. We've watched it happen again and again. It'll always go like this until the day you bet money on it. <g>
