CyBerCorp.com - Releases CyBerTrader 2.0 For Active Online Traders; Includes Options, Smart Order Routing, ECN Books, Risk Management Tools, Instinet Direct, Free Level II Data
AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- CyBerCorp.com today unveiled CyBerTrader 2.0, the most advanced integrated trading environment on the Internet, offering access to all ECNs, price-searching and smart order-routing within a real-time trading environment designed for active online professional traders.
CyBerCorp.com, which pioneered online retail access to ECNs and all other markets two years ago, entered the Top 10 ranks of online brokers in October 1999 and is the fastest growing e-broker, according to recent industry reports by U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray as well as Hambrecht & Quist. It has completely redesigned its CyBerTrader technology into a true Windows-based, easy-to-use, point and click environment with a major upgrade in its server and networking architecture.
``CyBerTrader 2.0 user surveys have shown that the traders have been delighted with the new front end, the speed and quality of the executions, the improvements in the charts, risk management tools as well as the ease of use' said Philip Berber, Chairman, CyBerCorp.com. ``Yet some of the most important improvements have been made at the back end, to ensure stability and reliability as our customer base and trading volumes increase.'
The new system includes options trading (expected to commence in late January), offering comprehensive real time options data plus electronic access to the options exchanges. In addition, CyBerTrader 2.0 includes an interface to CyBerXchange, the ``Super ECN' designed to find the best price available and route orders to the optimal counter party, seeking faster, smarter and better executions. It also provides a real time display of all orders within the Island, REDI and Archipelago ECNs; enhanced risk and stop loss management tools; and direct connections to additional ECNs, including Instinet, the oldest and largest ECN, further enhancing liquidity and speed of execution.
``CyBerTrader 2.0 offers a unique and powerful array of tools, displays, data, price searching, order routing and risk management,' said Berber. ``And it's so much easier to use that you hardly need a keyboard!'
The new Risk Management tools give Stock and Options Traders advanced stop-loss capabilities to help manage risk. The account manager gives traders the ability to place trailing, percentage and point based stop loss thresholds on all stocks and options. Investors may also track all positions, trades, open orders, profits and cash in real time. Many types of trading alerts are also available, ranging from stop loss options to conditional orders.
For a limited time, CyBerTrader 2.0 will also allow users to benefit, free of charge, from the new CyBerQuant! Technology -- an advanced quantitative analysis, stock screening and signal generation tool. Traders enter their stock selection criteria and CyBerQuant! presents the potential buy/sell opportunities. Symbols are displayed in both a list/ticker form as well as a new and unique five-dimensional graphical display.
In conjunction with the CyBerTrader 2.0 launch, CyBerCorp.com has significantly lowered requirements for free level II data, offering it free to customers who complete 50 trades per month and at a reduced rate for less active traders.
CyBerCorp.com's growth, which propelled it into the Top 10 e-broker rankings of Hambrecht & Quist and US Bancorp Piper Jaffray in the third quarter of 1999, continued at a rapid pace in the fourth quarter. Average daily transactions increased nearly 55 percent quarter-to-quarter to 14,200 per day; in December CyBerCorp.com averaged over 19,000 transactions per day. CyBerCorp has more than 2,500 active trading accounts averaging 5.4 million shares per day.
``CyBerCorp.com established itself in 1999 as the leading electronic broker for active traders' Berber said. ``Now we've raised the bar for the entire online trading business with the launch of CyBerTrader 2.0. We plan to continue setting the standard well into the new millennium.'
