IS, I agree with your analysis of the risk in the NASDAQ tech stocks. What can further accelerate a decline is the public participation in these stocks (mutual funds being a late investor to many of these) and the high level of margin debit.......with the potential for some forced selling.
Given a 50% decline in the NASDAQ still puts it respectfully ahead of last year isn't so bad from a long view, but it could dammage the confidence of many, whose confidence has reenforced the buy and hold approach to many of these otherwise overbought stocks.
The next 6 weeks will be quite telling.

Also one has to watch the IPO market......any signs that the window is closing to new issue will drastically change the psychology of the tech sector.
