From RB board post on EDIS: More Market Makers have joined the fray. In October there were 18 companies making a market in trading EDIS; as of December, there were 35. NITE has been losing some ground on its hold on EDIS. In September NITE made up 42% of the trading on EDIS; As of December NITE only made up 23% as other market makers have jumped in. Mayer & Schweitzer really jumped aboard during the last couple of months. Thru Sept. Mayer had only traded 1.3 million EDIS shares for the year, as of Dec. they had bumped that up to 9.4 million. Total share volume thru Oct. 1999 by MM was 6 million; by December that number had jumped to 46.6 million. I see that Bear, Stearns, Inc, and A.G. Edwards joined in as Market Makers in the last couple of months. otcbb.com
