>When you have a group priced on expectation like the Internet stocks have been, there really arent the tools to validate a purchase decision when the market moves against you, so I think this decline will probably become a very emotional market-clearing event.

The volatility we have seen has certainly been impressive, but I wonder whether the perceived significance of this decline is being magnified by market volatility. I am sure you have seen YHOO and AMZN go through some tsunami-like moves up and down early in their lives, and those times are barely remembered. Such is the nature of these stocks...

I wish I were a better trader to take advantage of these cycles. I am glad to hear that the fundamentals of many of these companies are intact.

As usual, it comes down to time horizon of investment and your stomach for declines....FWIW I think we will soon see a short-term bounce up, perhaps even tomorrow or Mon- doom and gloom everywhere is an excellent contrary indicator. It will be tough selling stocks like QCOM and CMRC into that bounce, but I may turn over a portion of my holdings to generate cash for those promised buying opportunities....
