Yes, I found out a little about the subs. Jeff Bezos said that he doesn't plan to consolidate Drugstore (which, BTW, made a very impressive presentation on their own. They have by far the fastest ramp of any e-tailer ever) because they they don't share the transaction/billing/distribution model Amazon has...not to mention the fact that RiteAid is effectively the pharmacy licencee.

I was most impressed with Yahoo, Veritas, Commerce One, DoubleClick, Akamai, eBay, Amazon, Internet Capital, Drugstore.com, Homestore.com, and TMP Worldwide.

I don't know why there was such a letdown over the Amazon pre-announcement. Every metric is exceptionally strong. They overstocked principally in toys and electronics, two areas where they had no holiday history and they wanted to err on the side of the customer. 99% of their orders arrived by 12/24, customer service calls were down 50% relative to sales, order size was up nicely, they gained 2 million new customers over the holidays.

Amazon is unstoppable. They've taken it. I hope the stock gets into the 40's.
