It is difficult to determine what exact percentage of the company insiders and “friends” own. According to the most current insider trading report from the CDNX insiders or deemed insiders own 5,666,255 shares of the company.

John Hislop, the president of QBX has been on the steady buy for several years now. During the period from Nov 11/97 to the present, Mr. Hislop made 97 purchases and only one sale of the stock. During this period he increased his holdings in the company from 1.7 million to his current holds of 3,263,917 and is now the largest shareholder that can be traced.

Along with the insider holdings there was a 4 million shares private placement at $1.55 in March 31/1998 that only became free trading in April of last year. A good majority of this private went to several offshore accounts – Bamby Investments (Bahamas), Leigemen SA, (British Virgin Islands), Iguana Investments (Grand Cayman). It is unclear if this group is still holding their shares but if they sold, they sold for a loss and since the volume has been low since April other than large 2 million share cross in July it is possible the majority of these shares are still be held. This group also holds warrants good at $1.78 only until April.

During the past 5 weeks Canaccord Capital has net purchased over 600,000 shares of the company on the open market.

Best Regards
KEITH
