From my understanding the Auto-trade orders are sent directly to Island, especially limit orders outside the inside bid/ask are usually sent within a second (can see it on the Island book or Level 2). For marketable orders I think it's the same, since I rarely experienced late fills with Auto-trades.

The $7.75 trades are sent to different brokers, but mostly to NITE (judged by the few ones I made). Usually it takes longer to confirm/fill.
