Nasdaq, hi Cat. I always felt the most likely scenario for a correction of some severity would be late January, early February...much the same as last year.

If this 10% correction on the Naz holds here at gap support over the next few days (see chart I posted yesterday) then I think we will have to correct further in the coming few weeks. I don't think 10% will do it.

However if today's recovery (possible recovery) does not last and next week continues the downturn...then I think a test and hold of 3450 (closing basis) might signal the end of the near term fall although honestly a more severe drop would probably be healthier in the long run.

Too close to call that yet...but after the run we've had, 10% is a little lean in the correction scenario.
