Wireless bundle gives mobile users continuous access to their Microsoft® Outlook information
Burnaby, British Columbia, January 7, 2000 - Infowave Software, Inc. (TSE:
IW) today announced that its Symmetry(tm) wireless software is being bundled
with every AccessLink II pager from Glenayre Electronics, Inc. (NASDAQ:
GEMS). Glenayre unveiled the bundle today at the Consumer Electronics Show
being held this week in Las Vegas.
The bundle combines Infowave's Symmetry desktop software with Glenayre's
AccessLink IIS pager and provides mobile users with a seamless way to stay
connected to their Microsoft Outlook email and other important information
when they are away from their desk or office. The AccessLink II was recently
awarded "Best Pager" by Mobile Computing and Communications Magazine.
Symmetry is desktop software that automatically forwards email, calendars,
meeting reminders, tasks and contact lists to a user's pager or mobile
phone. Since the AccessLink II pager is a two-way device, users can also
initiate or reply to email messages, request calendars and task lists, and
query their Outlook contact lists. Messages sent from the AccessLink IIS
appear as if they were sent from the user's desktop with their regular email
address.
