I live in Dayton and have shopped at Rex for many years. Obviously it has been in our local business pages fairly prominently. Following Peter Lynch's advice of investing in companies you are familiar with, I've been eager to invest in RSC, but have felt that I missed the boat. Today's action looks like a gift to me, a second chance to get on board. I have neither fundamental nor technical expertise, but can't escape the logical notion that RSC should benefit from the upcoming conversion to digital TV and replacement of VCRs with DVDs. The local press, at least, has always referred to RSC growth as phenomenal. Is this action clearly an over-reaction? Something else going on here? Just itching to pull the trigger.
