QCOM is an example everyone uses but is not a typical case. And that being said - you don't think QCOM's rise is in part due to sentiments??? Witness the recent decline over there. Sentiment driven.

I think investing based on fundamentals is an excellent tactic - that's pretty much what I do but I also attempt to integrate sentiments. The dot com craze last summer - I rode that pup and did well. The linux craze at the end of last year - I rode that one too. Looking for wireless early this year. If one only invests in fundamentals then you miss some great plays - JNPR, FDRY, JDSU, ... but of course more risk. Value investors are all here at COMS. No question.
