PanAmerican BanCorp (OTC:BB-PABN) announced today it is launching OurEvillage.com, a unique portal site designed to bring together local businesses and residents on the Internet featuring information, events and advertising specific to their respective communities. Committed to being a socially conscious endeavor, OurEvillage.com will initiate programs designed to support and give back to the communities it serves.
OurEvillage.com will be in the forefront as the World Wide Web further evolves. "Today, while most Internet companies have given the consumer broad exposure to information, products and services beyond their local market, they have not properly addressed the information, products and services that originate within their local marketplace," stated Raymond Gamble, Chief Marketing Officer of PanAmerican BanCorp and creator of the OurEvillage.com concept. "The tremendous advertising dollars that are being spent by local businesses are being invested in media such as the local Pennysaver or cable company that can specifically target consumers in their own neighborhoods. A key element of OurEvillage.com's strategy is to provide an array of features, which employ the Internet and interactive technologies developed by the PanAmerican Internet Group and DEAO Internet Services divisions of PanAmerican Bancorp, to bring people to the site on a regular basis. These features will include daily contests, weekly specials offered by their neighborhood businesses, online flea markets, auctions, chat rooms and many other items of local interest while still providing a full gateway to the World Wide Web.
OurEvillage.com will take a proactive approach to building site traffic. In addition to utilizing all the traditional promotional tools, local Publishers will be employed to aggressively promote consumer awareness and manage the advertising sales efforts of OurEvillage.com in their home markets. The Local OurEVillage.com publisher will also assist in implementing the OurEVillage.com Community Reinvestment Program, which will invest back into the community a percentage of the revenues generated by their local businesses.
