A surprise indeed. The brokerages want your Q! Initially, DLJ failed to give me the split shares then gave me every federal margin, NY surplus and maintenance call in the book. After admitting all errors, today they sold some of my Q shares without notice to me. After hours wasted on the phone, they erased the erroneous sell, including all documentation, and kept the profits. What a deal.
