Someone pointed out this thread to me the other day but it's been kinda slow here.

If you cut me, I bleed Castrol Syntech, so I figured I'd jump in here with an intro the car-nut side of me.

Cars, or more specifically, motorized things of all kinds, is the reason I moved to acreage in the boonies. I've managed to accumulate quite a few, and am building a 7200 sq ft workshop to further throw myself into this obsession.

The current crop:

99 F350 4x4 Crew Cab Powerstroke with duallies (daily driver/huge tractor)
99 Durango 4x4 SLT Plus (wife's daily driver with the 360, of course)
97 Chevy Ex-cab pickup (350 -- son's car)
91 Mustang GT (bought new -- 44k miles on it, pristine, and rarely street-driven)
88 Olds Regency (backup car which never gets used)
94 Case SuperK 4x4 Turbo backhoe/loader
88 JLG 45HA manlift (20hp Kohler)
66 Honda CM91 in new condition (pit bike)
72 Honda XL250 (655th unit of the entire XL series, which I ride like it's stolen)
Ancient 7.5kw generator with Kohler V4 engine (frequent power outages in the sticks)
76 BMW 530i (was a great runner, but it's covered in rust now)
old El Camino (solid, but worn out -- awaiting restomod)
98 Kaw 750 Jetski
And my pride and joy, a 1944 Ford 2N tractor. Looks horrible, but it works hard without ever complaining.

I'm active in mailing lists about cars, bikes, and tractors, and am a frequent contributor to an old tractor discussion site (that'll go nameless -- I think this would be a far superior place for those discussions).

Any other old tractor nuts out there? Enough to start a thread? I can talk all night about the old Fords and Fergusons.

I'm also nuts about Mustangs, but I rarely suspend anyone for pointing out (correctly, IMO) that Camaros are better cars.

My real love, though, is old Japanese motorcycles. I've owned several dozen in my many years. And will accumulate them when the workshop is done.

And I'm nearly finished building a 3-car detached garage right now. Since my truck barely fits through the 10-foot doors, I've been telling my wife I really want a 2000 Bonneville SSei for my birthday (keeping the truck, mind you).

She doesnt understand me. Said so herself. But she's tolerant. Willing to live amongst the wildlife so I can do my "car thing" or "stupid guy thing", depending on her mood or my latest acquisition.

Anyway, that's my car-guy side. Love to work on them and drive them. Love to look at them. Especially love to talk about them.

Bob
