Innuit -

I'm not sure the Corel situation has much to do with what's happening with CTXS. I agree with your three other points, though. I'm certainly not worried about my investment in Citrix.

As for Corel, I believe that most of the buyers yesterday did not understand what that press release really meant. They probably thought that Corel had a way that a user could sit down at home and run Windows apps on his Linux box. Of course, that isn't the case, unless the user somehow gets access to an NT server running the Graphon host software.

Most people really don't understand what the Graphon product does. That's always been a big part of Citrix's marketing problem. People don't understand the product.

BTW, I happen to think that Corel still has the best word processor out there, and a fine spreadsheet program, too. I agree that their strategy has been aimless over the past few years. But to be fair, WordPerfect's marketshare had been flushed down the toilet by Novell long before Corel got involved. Moreover, the flushing process began when WordPerfect was still an independent company, when they took too long to deliver a Windows version, and when they did it was weak and riddled with bugs.
