Hi- I think 'fairytales' were handed down through Females, for the most part. The 'wicked stepmother', scary crone/witchypoo fairytales most likely represent a form of Internalized Misogyny... [nowadays, we have 'feminine hygene' products, cosmetics and other consumables that send the message..."WE women are inherently unpleasant and unacceptable", unless we are catering to the male aesthetic.] -just a thought...I always hated 'fairytales', [except for One!]
