Clinton Asks Congress for Help in Combating Cyber-Terrorism
(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 7, 2000-- President Clinton announced today he will ask Congress for $91 million to fight cyber-terrorism, the Associated Press reported. Citing the Y2K threat as an example of the nation's interconnective dependence on technology, he said the nation's computer systems must be made more secure. The $91 million proposal is reportedly part of a $2 billion package intended to strengthen cyberspace infrastructure.
