ROCKER HEDGE FUND TAKES 5.2% STAKE IN RUBIO'S

Highlights from the January 5th San Diego Union-Tribune (There is a link, but I do not have time to find it).

-- Rocker bought 460,000 shares for roughly $6.50 per share, for a total investment of just under $3 million.

-- This makes Rocker the third largest shareholder in Rubio's, behind Bay Area venture capitalists Faralon Partners and Rosewood Capital who own a combined 25% of Rubio's stock. (The do not mention the founders, who I assume are still the largest shareholders)

--Rocker generally shorts stocks, but says "to balance off stocks we short because we think they are crazily overpriced, we own stocks that we think are crazily underpriced".

-- "The valuation of the stock is very, very, very cheap" and ""They have done nothing but execute exactly what they said they would do. We think we're getting it for 50 cents on the dollar" are two other quotes from the article.

Great Investing to all,

Steve
