Develcon Electronics Wins International Networking Project

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada -- Develcon Electronics
Ltd. today announced an agreement with STC Trading Inc.
of Toronto, whereby STC Trading has agreed to purchase
approximately $1,000,000 of data networking equipment
for the implementation of an overseas national data
communications network.

The equipment is to be used in Phase I of the
installation of the network and is to be delivered in
the next three months. Additional expansion phases of
the three year project are expected to be implemented
in the near future.

STC Trading Inc. selected Develcon as their business
partner, after an intensive review of competitive
offerings, because of the price/performance benefits
of Develcon's products and its expertise in developing
and installing similar networks worldwide.

Develcon is a leading Canadian designer, manufacturer
and supplier of dependable, ready, standards-based
computer networking equipment with special emphasis
on remote LAN access, using ISDN and Frame Relay WAN
services. Products include switches, hubs, bridges
and routers. It markets all its products through
Business Partners in over 80 countries.

The shares of Develcon are listed on The Toronto
Stock Exchange (symbol DLC).
