Michael, how would you have handled Ike's situation?

I too have been having trouble with market makers stepping away when I've hit their bids. The kid at my discount broker suggested I use limit orders & offer them an extra teenie as a kind of appeasement ... I tried it yesterday and it seemed to work -- sold at the bid, they didn't even bother to scalp the extra sixteenth. <g>

Back to your comments on bonds, yes, it sure would have been nice if you'd have lent him that book. Thanks, as always,
