CBQ, Inc. -- The E-Business Marketplace Prepares Application for Listing on
NASDAQ Small Cap Market

ADDISON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 7, 2000--CBQ, Inc.
(OTC BB:CBQI) The E-Business Marketplace announced today that it has
filed form 8-A with the Securities and Exchange Commission to become a
fully reporting company in preparation for submitting its application
to NASDAQ for listing on the NASDAQ Small Cap Market.
In conjunction with the preparation of this application, CBQ has
added two outside board members and adopted rules that follow the
corporate governance guidelines as described in the NASD regulations.
"As we move into the next phase of our growth, a listing on the
NASDAQ Small Cap Market, the most dynamic exchange for technology
companies, would enhance our visibility, credibility, and most
importantly our shareholder value," said John Harris, Chief Executive
Officer. "The addition of outside directors familiar with the global
economy to our board will give CBQ an important resource to help guide
our market expansion."
CBQ, Inc. has submitted its form 8-A and has prepared the
application and is awaiting a final count of shareholders to complete
the application package. CBQ, Inc. anticipates receiving this
information by the end of next week CBQ, Inc. is currently traded on
the Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board System (OTCBB) under the symbol
CBQI.
