Capt... agreed. CPQ announced the earnings release date earlier this week, and the date is 1/25 4pm. I can't remember them saying "4pm" before. I think it has always, of late anyway, been "after the closing bell" and then they hold earnings back till real near the cc so as to explain the why of it and get their excuses out to the shareholders AND halt the stock. Sounds like this time that earnings will be okay, so there will be no need to explain. Earnings should hit the wires within minutes after close, with no reason to halt the stock, like they have done before. Secondondly, I have to believe that since they have set an earnings date, that they know exactly what the bottom line is right now and if that's the case, we woulda been warned by now. El |
