Good question. Credibility is the key. With only electrons forming words on a screen, it is real tough to know who to trust and when to trust them.

For me, I need to see a pattern of value delivered, real information or insight, even if it bad news or a tough question. Knee-jerk reactionaries to bad news/tough questions can be easily filtered, although the occasional investor bigot is as tough to accept as the basher/manipulator/sniper. Both waste time. Both show a lack of respect for others on the this thread. They abuse their first amendment right (rather than living up to inherent responsbility) by wasting the time of a captive audience. They use the thread a soapbox for controlling minds and pushing their agenda, whether good or bad.

However, I believe VERY FEW of the investor bigots - the ever-present watch guards of the "stock positive" attitude - even understand what they are doing. IN OTHER WORDS, the biggest problem I've observed is a lack of familiarity/skill/etc in communicating through the written word alone. You can't read someone's face or hear the intonation in the "speaker's" voice.

There's a bunch of related issues. I don't want to waste time (mine and others) turning my observations and experiences into a lecture. Class dismissed! <VBG>
