I posted separately on this subject. Do you know how the costs would stack up? Would it be much cheaper to have a separate order fulfillment center? Or would it work to have order fulfillment performed after hours, when the store is closed, essentially using free infrastructure? The Super Wal-marts are now open 24 hours. The reason was they had people to re-stock there during the night and found they could do some business at the same time. It is amazing how much marchandise has to be placed back on the shelves after one day of sales during the holiday season.
