LOL! Language problems do not have to be the result of a person's not speaking English! I remember all too well a grad school class taught by a professor with such a thick Massachusetts accent that I could barely understand him. And I was, I thought, accustomed to the accent! I am reminded of a vacation at a lovely inn, where I sat during dinner with a lawyer from Alabama. I understood his wife's comments perfectly; but I'll be damned if I could make out more than one word in four of his. I kept hoping desperately that I wasn't agreeing inadvertently with something he deplored!
