Here is what Liberates technology does for AOL: "America Online is the world's largest online service provider, with more than 17 million subscribers. America Online has chosen to partner with Liberate and license the Liberate software platform for the AOL-TV service. The AOL-TV offering will extend Internet-connected interactivity to television through set-top boxes and will form the foundation of the "AOL Anywhere" initiative. The Liberate solution will include Connect Server to enable AOL connectivity to cable and telecommunications networks, such as DIRECTV. It will also include TV Navigator to allow television set-top boxes manufactured by Hughes Network Systems and Philips Electronics to display a range of Internet-based television services and content." The business of GMST is IPG. AOL licensed the GMST's technology to create customized program guides for AOL TV. I think that GMST works with/over Liberates technology. Comments/Regards
