Although DCLK has the lions share of the advertising business on the net I feel that internet portals will start to compete if they are not already. Look at Novell's NDS eDirectory and the next logical step is to include the advertising. Message 12497290

I also think that the internet will become highly competetive in the advertising so margins will be even thinner. I am not saying the DCLK can't go to the $300 target as some analysts have forecast, but I would only play this stock as a short term one...

Per Yahoo DEC 2000 they are still forecasted to lose money (-0.19/share) and trading @68X book and 70X price to sales. A 10 BILLION market cap with only $127M in sales is pretty sad IMO. (Not to say there are worse)

Avg Daily volume is falling, After the split I expect this stock to trade sideways as split holders will look to offload some position, and supply being greater than demand. And fools that think the stock is a better deal because the price/share has been cut in half will be disappointed and eventually sell off. People love splits these days but don't forget that also increases supply.

Good luck and I'll check in in a couple of months to see how many inside sells there are these first couple of weeks.

BTW I did not put DCLK because I expected a rise after Y2K and I was wrong.

Regards...
