Here's a little bit more of interesting reading.

eHealth: OnHealth, Medscape, and Mediconsult Look Strong
- Josh Fisher

OnHealth attracted the most visitors in November. OnHealth had a great November, with its unique visitors and stickiness improving significantly. OnHealth's unique visitors, according to Media Metrix, hit 3 million in November, surpassing drkoop as the most visited Internet healthcare site.

Drkoop.com, on the other hand, saw its visitor growth dip downward for the second month in a row - not a good a sign considering its AOL partnership should be driving new visitors to drkoop's site by the droves. WebMD had nice growth in unique visitors, but its stickiness metrics were poor for the second month in a row.

POL should boost Mediconsult's physician stickiness. We expect POL to significantly boost Mediconsult's stickiness over the next two months (Mediconsult's acquisition of POL closed on 12/15/99). With POL, Mediconsult now has over 206,000 authenticated U.S.-based physician members. Not only is this the largest, but the most active online physician community in the eHealth industry last month 85,000 physicians racked up over 37 million minutes on POL.

Medscape again had a solid month, maintaining its industry-leading stickiness while growing its visitors. We expect to see significant visitor growth at both Medscape's provider (www.medscape.com) and consumer (www.cbs.healthwatch.com) sites, as its partnership with CBS is now in action.

Who to pick? We believe marketing dollars from pharmaceutical companies will flow to eHealth companies with large, active groups of both doctors and patients. In our opinion, Mediconsult and Medscape are the best-positioned companies.
