Yes, but we must hold our breath regarding the Thu. earnings release. In the past I can recall the nit-picking analysis that went on resulting in sour comments when the earnings came out and ONLY met the estimates. Or ONLY beat the estimates by a penny or two and didn't approach the "whisper" figures. If you check the history of INTC's earnings releases you'll see that the analysts are VERY demanding and VERY unforgiving in the case of this company. It's almost as if they're only satisfied by a blow-out report and anything else makes them groan. Subsequent to anything less than a blow-out the stock back-tracks.

So, CAN we hope for a blow-out report? What about other companies (like COMS) who explained their shortfall with the "Y2K limbo" excuse? Perhaps there was such a phenomena in play whereby companies froze their buying. If INTC simply meets the estimate we'll be back down in the 70's quickly. (IMHO)
