The spacers are SUPPOSED to ground the mobo to the case. You'll get a ground loop if you isolate it. That's why the mobo screw holes have those big grounding rings where the screw-head comes down. However, in the case that the mobo touches somewhere else that you'd need to insulate it. (Yes, pun intended as usual. Feel free to groan while I grin <G>.)
