X--I have a lot of catching up to do. The only one of the movies you mentioned that I have seen is "Lost in America".

BTW, What happened to all the talk on this thread? Lots of good movies are out and no chatting. I saw the Talented Mr Ripley and really liked it. It got me to begin reading some of the other Patricia Highsmith novels including the sequels to Ripley. Reading "Ripley Underground" right now. Also, a friend turned me on to the original Ripley film based on the "Talented..." also. Purple Moon by Rene Clement. So far it is very good. I hear the ending is much better. I am saving that for tonight to watch with my wife.

Last night I rented the video release(finally) of "Track of the Cat", based on the novel by Walter Van Tilburg Clark of "Ox Bow Incident" fame. Also the same director, William Wellman is in charge. I was disappointed in it and was surprised that I had remembered it so differently from 30 years ago from the way it played last night. I was wondering if there was another remake of it. I could not find anything on the web to substantiate my impression. Hope someone else out there had seen it and could confirm or invalidate my suspicion.

Myron
