I have cancelled the 3 minute time out. Does this mean that with a limit order that says in effect get me out at market if my price hits the limit price that I can count on getting filled at some price if I should have to leave the computer?

I had a market sell order cancelled after 95 seconds in a rapidly falling market the other day and was told by a CyberX broker later that there was no way of preventing this from occurring and also that in reality with Nsdaq there is no such thing as a market order.
