Hello:

I liked Purple Noon much better, had a tight knit story in it. Has a much better ending to it.If you have not seen it, I do not want to kill the suspense by telling you how Ripley was found out.

Here Mr Ripley could go on forever, too much of Holywood.

Having said that, I liked both of them.
