Thanks. I remain skeptical. They should test the mummies to determine if they are actually ancient Egyptians. The link alludes to a large traffic in fake mummies.

And on the nicotine angle, I see:

Tobacco was widely used everywhere in the ancient world from Sudan to Austria to China and then was lost and died out, before being reintroduced from the America's after Colombus' voyage? Sounds questionable to me.
