Thanks for all of your information on CREE. I was wondering if you were familiar with Agilent / HP's SiC LED products? I heard through my father that a friend of the family works for Agilent and says that they are selling LED replacements, and the products are being used in things such as stop lights. I found this on HP's website, although I am not sure if it the product that this guy is working on:

i believe HP is a CREE customer. I will try to verify that.
I can tell you for certain that CREE LEDs are being used in traffic lights here in S Florida (Palm Beach County) and in China.

I just cruised the link a bit deeper. I see you meant auto brake lights not traffic lights...that is a new one for me. I have forwarded the link to my CREE research partner. He should know. I'll post what i find out.
