E.Digital to Integrate Technology with RioPort

(San Diego) E.Digital Corp., a designer of electronic products that play music downloaded from the web, said it will integrate its technology with RioPort Inc.'s digital audio platform. San Diego-based E.Digital has developed an operating system that can read multiple audio formats. E.Digital is working with Lucent Technologies Inc. and Microsoft Corp. to develop alternatives to MP3 technology, which allows people to download high-quality audio, often for free.
