Sweet sleeping Jesus! This is exactly what I am suggesting, that individual investors do what the "buy side" does on their behalf via mutual funds and the like: Look for temporary discrepancies when the markets are inefficient and jump in to buy or cut bait, take a profit, and let the greater fool have the last ten percent.

It does not require clout; it requires hard work and a great deal of thought. And no thinking about what might have been. After all, Bernard Baruch noted, "No one ever lost money taking a profit."
