There's a reality out there; I'm struggling to present it. It goes back to my analogy of the coin toss. Lately I have made lots of (virtual) money by betting on the sunshine when my coin comes up heads. You can't knock this coin tossing completely. My (virtual) bank balance is proof of that. Never mind your university studies.
My point is that any time spent on TA is wasted, wasted, wasted --- we're better off using those same minutes to study the companies some more.
Yet we are all to some extent influenced by the herd, nonconformist as we may pride ourselves as being. So I wanted to explain why the herd goes for TA, despite all the academic disproofs. For an atheist who believes in TA, I think my argument might be compelling in getting him to weaken the influence of large numbers of uninformed people from his own thinking.
