Jenne...When IJ commented on the last split, one of the things he wanted to accomplish was to get the share price down so more of the masses could participate. That hasn't happened. I believe the stock was close to 200/sh. when he announced the 4-1, which indicates to me that he wanted a post split price around 50 plus allowing a little more for run-up. If we do the simple math based on todays stock price, it would seem that a minimum of 2-1 is "imminent".
Two other points; JDSU and others have done almost back to back splits, influencing a mindset. Lastly, Qcom "only" has about 650 mil. shares out there whereas so many other "gorillas" have tons more. P.S. FWIW I don't see it happening when earnings are announced but maybe in 4-6 weeks.
