Okey, gang! Tired of MTCI? There's a new kid on the block!

Check out SQRT! This one is for real. Based in Singapore, SQRT is better known as
Squirrel Tail. There is this woman in Singapore named GAO (General Acct Office ???
Don't Ask!) who claims to have on hand several tons of fibre comprised of the short
hairs from the end of squirrel tails. She claims to have acquired these hairs herself and
has evidently found a useful market for them, however, she would like to sell this
commodity to someone else who might have a better track record in marketing.

Included in the deal is her incorporated business of acquiring the product. Estimated
worth of the current stock is put at $3200 per US pound. There are approximately
3325 pounds of processed squirrel tail at the facility - which must be moved to a
different location by the buyer. You may contact her for a full accounting to the nearest
mg (milligram).

After giving some thought to the above, it occurs to me that it must be quite some
operation, removing hairs from the tails of live squirrels. Live squirrels are the source of
the crop. Evidently you must anesthesize them somehow. You do not shave them,
either! According to the news release I was reading, Gao plucks these hairs with the
root intact and the folicle cannot be damaged if a new hair is to grow in.

..........

The only company of equal note that I have run across lately is the guy named GUY in
western Montana who has several tons of ferret whiskers for sale. Now, that must
have been an interesting acquisition! Ferrets are not noted for their friendly disposition
with regard to the removal of their whiskers.
