"American Barrick will officially become a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs."
A little humor from the famed professor Von Braun on the Gold-Eagle forum :

Here are a few predictions gleaned from a not to clear crystal ball borrowed from the
Museum of Dire Predictions,
which by the way houses the worlds best collection of failed
investments, worthless stock certificates, non existent gold mines, analysts bad calls and other
paraphernalia, including the original tulip bulb that started the great tulip boom.

Diesel generators will get very cheap before too long, especially unused second hand
ones.

The gold price will go up and down.

Amazon.com will be acquired by the world wildlife fund.

Y2K websites will disappear altogether ? some will be donated to the Museum of Dire
Predictions.

The oil price will decline as Venezuela turns on the taps to generate some much needed
cash.

Boris Yeltsin will loan money to the IMF.

The LBMA will suffer from constipation.

The Federal Reserve will be sold to a consortium of Japanese & Chinese investors.

Bill Fleckenstein will become Chairman of the SEC.

American Barrick will officially become a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs.

The term employee stock options will carry a government health warning.

Bill Clinton will announce his retirement in January of 2001.

The ECB will announce that bandits disguised as bullion bankers have stolen its gold
reserves.

Y2K will be replaced by Y3K.

Whatever the year ahead may contain one can be assured of the possibility of surprises and
with the assistance of the internet, some great websites, a sense of humor and instant
communication no doubt we will hear about them in short order.
