I once had frequent flyer miles on US Air, Piedmont, PSA and then all of a sudden they were one. I probably still have 80,000 unused miles (no expiration) on US Air, but I can't get myself to fly them now (I was booked on the flight that landed on the America West commuter plane at LAX. I knew that the M&A activity was pretty big in the airline industry and it can skew the view that everyone that isn't around today must have been a loser. GRUB
